Merging…
Your merged PDF is ready
How to merge PDF files
Three steps, no accounts and no software to install. This free PDF combiner works the same on a laptop, tablet or phone.
Add your PDFs
Drag and drop your files into the box above, or click to browse. Each file is checked and its page count is shown, so you know exactly what will go into the combined PDF.
Put them in order
Drag files up or down the list, or use the arrow buttons on touch screens. The merged document follows the list from top to bottom — the first file's pages come first.
Merge & download
Press Merge PDF. Your files are combined right here in your browser and the finished PDF downloads automatically — same quality, no watermark.
Why merge PDFs with All Tools Max?
Most online PDF combiners upload your documents to their servers and limit free use. This one doesn't — and won't.
Completely free & unlimited
Merge as many files as you want, as often as you want. No daily caps, no page limits, no "pro" version waiting behind a paywall.
Private — files never uploaded
The combining happens on your own device with JavaScript. Contracts, payslips and ID documents stay exactly where they belong: with you.
No watermark, original quality
Pages are copied into the merged file exactly as they are — text stays selectable, images stay sharp, links keep working. Nothing is stamped or re-compressed.
No sign-up, ever
No email address, no account, no newsletter trap. Open the page, combine your PDF files, download, done.
Common reasons to combine PDF files
- Job applications — join your CV, cover letter and certificates into one PDF recruiters can open in a single click.
- Assignments & coursework — merge separately scanned pages or chapters into one file for submission portals.
- Invoices & receipts — bundle a month of bills into a single document for your accountant or expense claim.
- Contracts & forms — keep the agreement, annexes and signed pages together instead of sending five attachments.
- Scanned documents — combine single-page scans of an ID, passport or licence into one complete file.
- Reports & ebooks — stitch chapters or department reports into a single, easy-to-share document.
Limits & tips for a clean merge
- Order matters. The merged PDF follows your list from top to bottom. Check the order numbers before merging — fixing the order here is far easier than splitting pages later.
- Password-protected PDFs can't be merged. If a file is encrypted, the tool will tell you its name. Open it in your PDF reader, remove the password (or print it to a new PDF), then add it again.
- Very large files merge on your device. Because nothing is uploaded, merging speed depends on your phone or computer. Totals over ~100 MB still work on most desktops, but an older phone may struggle — merge in two smaller batches if it does.
- Page sizes are preserved. A mix of A4 and Letter pages keeps each page's original size in the output, exactly as in the source files.
- Damaged files are named, not silently skipped. If one file fails, you'll see which one — the rest of your list stays untouched so you can fix just that file and continue.
Merge PDF — frequently asked questions
Is this Merge PDF tool really free?
Yes. You can combine as many PDF files as you like, as often as you like — no sign-up, no watermark, no trial limits and no page caps. The tool is completely free.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The merge happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device, nothing is sent to or stored on a server, and closing the tab removes everything.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit. You can add two files or dozens. Very large batches depend on your device's memory, so on older phones it is best to merge in smaller groups.
Will merging change the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied into the merged file exactly as they are — text, images, links and layout stay at their original quality. Nothing is re-compressed or rasterised.
Why did one of my files fail to load?
The usual causes are a damaged or incomplete file, a password-protected (encrypted) PDF, or a file that is not really a PDF. The tool names the file that failed — remove its password protection or re-export it, then add it again.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes. The tool works in any modern mobile browser. Tap the drop zone to pick files from your phone, use the up and down buttons to order them, and tap Merge — the combined PDF downloads to your device.
